 戴紹曾牧師 (Dr. James H. Taylor III) 於主曆二○○九年三月二十日凌晨於香港基督教靈實醫院安息主懷在世寄居八十載。
戴紹曾牧師是中國內地會創辦人戴德生牧師的曾孫。戴牧師一九二九年生於河南，抗戰期間曾被日軍俘虜到集中營，在裡面認識了《烈火戰車》真人主角李愛銳（Eric Liddell）。戰後他與父祖輩一樣，獻身中國宣教工作。

謹定於四月四日（週六）上午十時至十二時假九龍城浸信會禮堂（香港九龍城亞皆老街206號）舉行安息禮拜
並於四月三日（週五）晚上七時至九時於該會四樓禮堂設置弔唁冊，歡迎主內友好致意。

“Living to Make a Difference”

August 12, 1929 ~ March 20, 2009
Our dear father was called home to be with the Lord. Following a five year battle with liver cancer, Dad has shed his earthly tent and now is clothed in the white robe specially reserved for him. Joining the saints of the past, he stands beside Samuel & Maria Dyer, Hudson & Maria Taylor and countless others, offering up eternal praise to the Creator God and Jesus Christ. Death has indeed been swallowed up in victory! 1 Corinthians 15:54
We would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to so many who have journeyed with our father and our family on this pilgrimage. Your prayers, calls, emails, visits, and support have been an indescribable blessing and encouragement to us. We have been conscious each and every day of the Lord’s effectual, sufficient, and sustaining grace.
The following hymn, Finally Home, contains words our father often quoted to encourage others facing the frailty and brevity of life. The lyrics truly speak of the imperishable hope each of us have in Jesus Christ.
When engulfed by the terror of tempestuous sea,
Unknown waves before you roll.
At the end of doubt and peril is eternity,
Though fear and conflict seize your soul;
(Refrain) But just think of stepping on shore and finding it heaven!
Of touching a hand and finding it God’s!
Of breathing new air and finding it celestial!
Of waking up in glory and finding it home!
When surrounded by the blackness of the darkest night,
Oh how lonely death can be;
At the end of the long tunnel is a shining light,
For death is swallowed up in victory!

Dad, you have fought well, raced to the finish, and kept the faith unwaveringly (2 Timothy 4:7) ~ now enter into the joy of your Master! (Matthew 25:21)
A memorial service will be held in Hong Kong on April 4, 2009, at Kowloon City Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. The address of the church is 206 Argyle Street, Kowloon, HONG KONG. As requested by our father, a “Tai-le* Educational Fund” will be established with MSI Professional Services, the organization started by our father along with two Chinese Christian brothers in 1994. MSI is located at #19 Mongkok Road, 3rd Floor, Mongkok, HONG KONG Contribution in his memory to this fund will support continuing education of Christian professionals serving in Creative Access Nations. Separate memorial services are also planned for Taiwan and Singapore.
